From all at The Racing Line we send our congratulations to Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing who also secured their 4 Constructors title in India as well.
Sebastian Vettel became the youngest 4 time world champion and became one of the true greats in the sport, after a sublime win in India. Even after pitting on lap 2 the world champion still managed to win by over 28 seconds from the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg. After nearly being jumped by Lewis Hamilton at the start Vettel controlled the race beautifully to take his sixth win in a row. However it wasn't all plain sailing for the German as he had to nurse an altinator problem which took team mate Mark Webber out of the race. Vettel was also given a reprimand and a fine after the race for pulling doughnuts on the pit straight after the race in celebration. For everyone else it ends a disappointing season which had a lot of expectation, but Vettel has been Mr Consistent and defiantly deserves title number 4. The once, twice, thrice and now FOUR times World Champion is certainly the man to beat.
From all at The Racing Line we send our congratulations to Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing who also secured their 4 Constructors title in India as well.

Sebastian Vettel took his 9th win of the season and this 5th in a row in Japan. it was a well fought and well deserved win from the triple world champion who now only needs a 5th place finish in India in 2 weeks. it was a poor start from the 2 Red Bulls and the Lotus of Romain Grosjean stromed in to the lead from the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton which clipped the front wing of Vettel which inturn gave the 2008 world champion a puncture and resulted in the endo of his race just like Fernando Alonso 12 months ago. The japanese crowd witnessed a very strategic race and one that changed lap after lap, the race was like a game of poker between the Red Bulls and Lotus, with Vettel having the best hand. Vettel and Grosjean went for a 2 stop strategy where as Webber went for the 3 stop because he puts too much wear on the tyres. This however is what ultimately cost him his first victory of the season. The event was overshadowed by the death of former Marussia test driver Maria De Villota after she died because of the injures sustained in her accident over a year ago. The podium was celebrated in her name. Alonso is 90 points behind Vettel with 4 to go, so what can Fernando do about the charging Bull?
Race Result: 1. Vettel 2. Webber 3. Grosjean 4. Alonso 5. Raikkonen 6. Hulkenberg 7. Gutierrez 8. Rosberg 9. Button 10. Massa 11. Di Resta 12. Vergne 13. Ricciardo 14. Sutil 15. Perez 16. Maldonardo 17. Bottas 18. Pic 19. Chilton 20. Hamilton DNF 21. Bainchi DNF 22. Van De Gaurde DNF Mark Webber became the Fourth man to take pole position in 2013 and it was his first pole of the season. It is also the first time that Webber has out-qualified team mate Sebastian Vettel all season and with the Aussie moving to Porsche racing next year, his 12th pole will be ever sweeter. It has been 12 months since Webber last took pole which was in Korea 2012, whereas his last victory was at the 2012 British Grand Prix. Vettel suffered a slight K.E.R.S. issue which left him with NO K.E.R.S. for the whole of Q3. Webber's pole broke Vettel's chain of poles which started at the Italian GP.Qualifying Results:
Nick Hulkenberg has been a magnificent talent on the F1 stage for some time now. From his INCREDIBLE pole position in Brazil 2010 to his GREAT performance during the Brazilian GP 2012 to his 4th place finish in Korea and 3rd place grid spot at Monza. But with the new technical regulations for 2014, tall drivers like Hulkenberg could find themselves without a drive for 2014. "The Hulk" is in pole position to take the seat at Lotus next year but does face a threats from Fillipe Massa and Paul Di Resta who are also fighting for competitive drives next year. However Lotus Boss Eric Boullier has said that the new weight limit will NOT affect there driver decision for 2014. But if Massa can bring some much needed money to the team to support Romain Grosjean's sponsorship from 'Total', Nico could be in some bother. Personally I think Hulkenberg deserves a decent drive and after a disappointing season with Sauber he is ready for the next major step in his career. "The Hulk" has the potential to end the Vettel dominance, but he just needs the right car.Callum Beirne
