Lewis Hamilton dominated the Malaysian GP as he took his first win in Sepang. The Brit scored his 100th points finish in F1 as he won by over 17 seconds to team mate Nico Rosberg. It was the first Mercedes 1-2 since 1955 Italian GP. Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel took his first podium of the year as he finished 3rd behind the two Mercs. However for team mate Daniel Ricciardo his Australia podium as he endured a horrible end to the race. After an electric start Ricciardo had a loose wheel nut at his third stop causing him to be wheeled down the pit lane. Two laps later his front wing failed after running over a kerb. A lap later he received a 10 second stop go penalty for a unsafe release. Red Bull then retired him with 3 laps to go. The McLaren of Kevin Magnussen has contact with Kimi Raikkonen not only damaging the front wing of The McLaren but it also gave the Ferrari a puncture on the second lap. Raikkonen wouldn't make the ground up. There was another team orders debacle except this time it was at Williams. Early in the race Massa had complained about Bottas and team orders were used. However with 5 laps to go the ex Ferrari driver was told to allow the Fin through. Massa rejected the order and got his first points of the season. But Malaysia once again showed the speed of Hamilton and the Mercedes package, but Ferrari and especially Red Bull have caught up in the last two weeks. But Bahrain next week will once again test the speed of the Mercedes.
