Williams in 2014 had one of the better looking noses along with World Champions Mercedes and former Champions Red Bull Racing, yet the 2015 Williams' front nose looks worse. This is similar to the 2013 Ferrari where the 'vanity' panel designed to improve the look of the 'step' noses in fact made the car more ugly. Sadly this has happened to the Williams FW37 with a thumb-like tip on the nose. The rest of the car looks virtually the same to the 2014 car as the regulations haven't changed much for the rest of the car.
Lotus F1 Team tweeted shortly after the release "distinct F1 noses of late, we can’t decide what the latest @WilliamsRacing reminds us of most... " poking fun at the new noses. But it is unclear whether Lotus will go down the same road or stick with their concept which was tested at the US Grand Prix.
But from the 'step' noses of 2012 the look of Motorsport's number 1 formula still looks comical in comparison with Formula E, GP2 and even WEC. However if we have a season anything like we had in 2014 the looks of F1 2015 won't even be a concern come Abu Dhabi.
